Wise Law represented the man\u2019s mother and his interests. The case settled on Dec. 26, 2013, during a pretrial hearing before Cook County Circuit Judge James P. McCarthy. The judge approved the settlement and dismissed the case on Feb. 6, 2014, contingent upon the approval of University of Chicago officials.
