The single-car accident took place on a recent Saturday afternoon. Sometimes, fatal&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ksdk.com\/article\/news\/local\/fatal-crash-alton-illinois\/63-8229cfa5-3a13-4c43-95a9-a7aaa1504853\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">car accidents<\/a> occur as a result of a driver&#8217;s carelessness, in which case, the careless driver may be held liable for the deaths stemming from the wreck.<\/p>\n<p>Police said the accident took place when a sport utility vehicle was traveling east along Illinois Route 143 and suddenly swerved. The SUV then left the roadway and flipped several times. The motor vehicle collision also caused injuries to two other individuals. Sometimes, such&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/chicago.suntimes.com\/news\/2020\/11\/28\/21723856\/anthony-williams-jr-thrown-from-vehicle-dies-crash-near-130-i94-riverdale-police\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">car accidents<\/a> occur as a result of the negligence of a motorist, which is grounds for litigation.<\/p>\n<p>The recent accident took place along Interstate 94 at around 1 a.m. on a Saturday. Police said a man was heading south on the interstate in his car and suddenly struck the back of another car. The incident sparked a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/us\/family-of-school-principal-who-died-donating-bone-marrow-reaches-2455m-medical-malpractice-settlement\/ar-BB1aY7Lt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">medical practice<\/a> lawsuit filed by the man&#8217;s surviving loved ones, but the family was recently able to reach a settlement of $5.5 million. Likewise, any individuals in Illinois who lose loved ones as a result of medical malpractice have the right to seek compensation in civil court.<\/p>\n<p>In the recent case, the alleged medical malpractice incident occurred while the man was going through the process of donating some bone marrow. An anesthesiologist reportedly failed to give him enough oxygen when his level of oxygen plummeted. However, she claimed that neither doctor physically examined her lump. In addition, they allegedly failed to diagnostically test her breast. Sometimes, these types of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ksdk.com\/article\/news\/local\/car-crash-st-clair-county\/63-0800650a-a624-424f-a3a6-db76f1ba3581\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">car accidents<\/a> take place as a result of a driver&#8217;s negligence, such as blowing through a stop sign, which is grounds for civil litigation.<\/p>\n<p>According to police, the recent accident occurred when a woman, 27, was driving her car east along a road. A 3-year-old and 4-year-old child were also in the car. However, the woman reportedly failed to come to a halt at a stop sign.
