But after the injury, you had difficulty concentrating, forgetfulness, and trouble organizing your thoughts. You explode at your loved ones. You may feel like a different person, or your loved ones feel as if you are acting like a stranger. Your reduced ability to control your anger may seriously impact your marriage, friendships, job, and self-esteem. Many end up divorced or develop a negative job history after being fired repeatedly in the months and years following a TBI.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Delayed TBI diagnosis<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is not uncommon for an injury&rsquo;s impact to be delayed, not showing up for days, weeks, even months after it occurred.
