To avoid injuries caused by slips, trips or falls, workers should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Keep all work areas clean and clutter-free<\/li>\n<li>Wear shoes with adequate traction<\/li>\n<li>Follow ladder safety regulations<\/li>\n<li>Use appropriate fall equipment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Struck by an object<\/h2>\n<p>It is easy to be struck by moving machinery or falling materials on a construction site. To avoid injuries from falling and moving objects, workers should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wear proper personal protective equipment<\/li>\n<li>Secure materials and tools properly to avoid shifting and tumbling objects<\/li>\n<li>Use reverse signal alarms<\/li>\n<li>Avoid standing between moving and fixed objects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Electrocution<\/h2>\n<p>High-powered equipment and exposed wiring are common on construction sites, putting workers at risk for burns and other types of electrocution injuries.
