WM $17M Delayed Diagnosis Settlement Featured in the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin

The March 10, 2014, edition of the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin quoted Kevin G. Burke of Wise Law Offices LLC on a recently settled $17 million case involving a suburban man who suffered brain damage caused by complications from bacterial endocarditis. Burke represented the man’s mother and his interests.

The case settled on Dec. 26, 2013, during a pretrial hearing before Cook County Circuit Judge James P. McCarthy. The judge approved the settlement and dismissed the case on Feb. 6, 2014, contingent upon the approval of University of Chicago officials. That occurred the next day.
