A man’s life has sadly been cut short in a tragic rear-end car crash in Illinois. The motor vehicle collision also caused injuries to two other individuals. Sometimes, such car accidents occur as a result of the negligence of a motorist, which is grounds for litigation.

The recent accident took place along Interstate 94 at around 1 a.m. on a Saturday. Police said a man was heading south on the interstate in his car and suddenly struck the back of another car. The first car then reportedly left the roadway and overturned.

The driver of the first car was allegedly ejected from his car during the accident. He was then transported to the hospital for the treatment of his injuries but ended up dying there. Two passengers who were riding with him at the time of the crash also suffered injuries and were transported to a medical center. However, their injuries were not considered to be life threatening. No one was injured in the car that was reportedly rear ended.

The two injured passengers may choose to file personal injury claims following the Illinois rear-end accident, seeking the reimbursement of monetary damages. Even though the driver who reportedly caused their injuries ended up dying in the crash, they may still file suits against the deceased driver’s estate. In addition, they can sue anyone else with an ownership interest in the car they were riding in. Liability must be established, based upon a showing of negligence, before any claims for damages will be adjudicated in cases involving these types of car accidents.
